One minute I was organizing the pantry like a woman in a home makeover montage, and the next I was crying in my car because someone asked, “What’s for dinner?” I was dead-tired but couldn’t sleep, and when I finally did, my brain would wake me up at 2:47 AM to replay every embarrassing moment from 1993 to now.
My moods were all over the place—I could go from Zen to zero chill in under five seconds. I felt guilty for snapping at my kids or for secretly wishing everyone would just leave me alone. And every time I tried to get help, I got the same old “everything looks normal, here's an anti-depressant" routine.
Spoiler alert: it was not normal.
Turns out, I wasn’t crazy—I was in perimenopause. No one tells you it can feel like being stuck in puberty and a midlife crisis at the same time, while still managing a career, a household of teens, and whatever emotional baggage you forgot to unpack from your twenties.
So I did what any Gen X woman raised on sarcasm and self-reliance would do: I turned myself into a science experiment (minus the lab coat), dug into the research, and got certified to help other women figure it out, too.
Now I help women over 40 ditch the confusion, feel strong in their bodies again, and take back control with mobility, nutrition, and hormone-friendly strategies that fit real life.
